Brayden and Joseph GO SAINTS!

It's been a busy few days since Joe's birth. We're beginning to settle in. Vanessa is beginning to trust herself. I've been on hand to help, but have tried very hard to teach her and John, not do for them. I've stood within reach of Joe through first baths, and first clothing changing for both of them. Doing it for them in the guise of showing them doesn't really allow them to grow as parents. Both of them are showing signs of relaxing with Joe just a bit.

Brayden is a trip. He is just before walking. He will let go and take a few steps. Catch me, Papaw!

Joseph Patrick Rose is here. He was born Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 12:01 p.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 1/2 ounces. He is 19 3/4 inches long.
Vanessa developed toxemia. She had a 9:30 am appointment with her doc. He told her at 9:45 she'd have a baby by noon. He missed it by one minute.
